Spring Fling

Spring Fling by littlepritty featuring Karen Walker

I thought it would be fun to put together a little spring outfit. I must admit, Spring is not my favorite season (can we say allergies?!) but the clothes are so much fun. This outfit would also be great with a button down wrapped around the waist or a sweatshirt.

I hope everyone is having a great day! I am excited to finish this semester of school in just a few short weeks!

Where Have I Been?

Life happened! I have been so busy being a mama to Raegan girl and Liam that I've had no time to play around on my computer, let alone post a blog. I promise to be coming back soon, hopefully when baby sleeps better.
So many awesome opportunities have come my way with regards to fitness, schooling and baby gear and I can not wait to share as summer gets into full swing.

Our Lego Christmas and Pregnancy Update

I hope everyone had a great Holiday! This year, we broke tradition and let Liam open all of his gifts on Christmas Eve. On Christmas morning, we got ready and headed to Legoland. While the park was a bit more crowded than we had anticipated, the crowd was surprisingly mellow. We all had a great time. Liam got to enjoy the snow the park brought in and he is now constantly asking for a trip to Big Bear.

I had my 23 week appointment last week. It went ok. Baby girl's heart rate dropped big time on the ultrasound and the way my Nurse Practitioner handled it made it worse. I was already scared…but her running out of the room to get my doctor really freaked me out. Luckily, the heart rate jumped back up to normal and stayed. I was relieved, but still nervous. On the bright side, I learned our genetic testing came back…everything was negative. What a blessing! I do have some food restrictions now, but they are worth it to ensure a healthy pregnancy and labor. On New Year's Day, I was admitted to Labor & Delivery due to pre-term contractions. Luckily, they weren't close enough to be induced for labor. We also had an ultrasound and baby girl was having a party and her heart rate was perfect. I felt so happy knowing everything with her was ok. Please pray that she "bakes" until at least 36 weeks.

How many weeks are you: 24
How much weight have you gained?: Up 4 pound at visit, 8 total.
Anything you miss?: Sleep and chocolate.
Cravings? Fruit that isn't in season like cherries and melon. I am also craving a King Cake. Big time.
Working Out?: I slacked last week due to the cramping, but hope to get going again this week. My doctor has approved my workouts.

That is all for my update. I will post more soon. I want to apologize if you follow me on Pinterest and I blow up your feed with baby clothes. I am just so excited! Love you all!

It's A GIRL!!!

A few weeks ago, we announced we are expecting a baby girl next Spring. I figured this would be a good place to answer a lot of the questions I've been asked regarding my pregnancy. Baby girl was a huge surprise for us as I was told I would not be able to get pregnant due to my Lupus. God had other plans.
I am currently 21weeks into my pregnancy. I received a diagnosis of Hypermesis at 11 weeks. That sent me to the hospital twice and finally went away (knock on wood) at 20 weeks. Our anatomy scan was at 19 weeks. Baby girl has long legs and Liam's nose. Her heart and brain looked perfect. The one concern was an accessory lobe on the placenta, which my doctor told me not to freak out about. This will be monitored monthly and I hope there are not issues with post delivery bleeding.
My sweet OB is no longer delivering babies after this month, so I had to find a new doctor. I was upset, but feel like I am in great hands. I have a whole team of high risk specialists working with me to ensure a healthy pregnancy and delivery. Please keep baby girl and I in thoughts and prayers as there are many more tests in my future. I go for a heart echo at hospital this Friday and have a kidney test at the end of this month. I am sure all will be ok, but I am definitely nervous.
Tommy seems ok with having a daughter, but says she is not allowed to go out ever. Liam, although he was hoping for a baby brother, has warmed up to welcoming a sister.
We think we have settled on a name and will announce that as soon as I know we..I mean I won't  change my mind.
I will try and update on our progress monthly. A friend of mine blogged her pregnancy with a a neat template of questions and I thought it would be fun to do the same.
Thank you all for your well wishes. We are so excited to share this new chapter in life with our family and friends.

How far along are you?: 21 weeks, 1 Day.
How big is baby?: The size of a banana!
Gender: GIRL!!
How much weight have you gained?: 4 pounds as of last week
Miss anything?: Cesar salads and my boxing gloves.
Cravings?: No cravings, but I won't say no to chips and salsa or chocolate.
Symptoms: Headaches, hip pain…I'll take it over the nausea.
Exercise: I have been aiming to walk at least 3 days a week now that I am feeling better.

This little outfit was gifted to my mother at her baby shower for me.
